1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how RepayIQ collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you visit the website, create a business account, receive or complete a verification link, connect financial data, or use related services.
2. Personal Information We Collect
Contact and account information, such as name, email, phone number, business name, address, role, and login data. Applicant information submitted by a business customer, such as name, phone number, email, requested payment, and application purpose. Identity information and verification results, depending on the configured verification flow. Financial account and transaction data you authorize through Plaid or another provider. Income, balance, recurring obligation, cash-flow, payment reliability, and affordability information derived from financial data. Verification report information, including RepayIQ Score, Payment Reliability Index, risk band, reason codes, and PDF report. Outcome feedback submitted by business customers, such as paid on time, paid late, NSF, default, not funded, withdrawn, or fraud/manual-review result. Website, device, log, cookie, analytics, and security data.
3. Financial Data and Plaid
RepayIQ may collect financial data through Plaid or other data providers with applicant authorization. RepayIQ does not receive or store bank login credentials. RepayIQ may store authorized transaction data, income data, balance data, account metadata, derived features, and reports as described in this policy.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage business accounts; send verification links by SMS, WhatsApp, or email; verify applicant identity, income, cash flow, payment capacity, and payment reliability; generate RepayIQ reports, scores, risk bands, reason codes, and PDFs; maintain audit logs, consent records, and security records; prevent fraud, detect misuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve service quality; provide customer support and respond to applicant inquiries; improve RepayIQ analytics, rules-based scoring, machine-learning models, and service performance, subject to applicable law and consent requirements; and comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and protect rights and safety.
5. Model Improvement and Deidentified Data
RepayIQ may use transaction-derived features, report outcomes, and outcome feedback to improve scoring logic and machine-learning models. Where appropriate, RepayIQ may aggregate or deidentify data so it no longer reasonably identifies an individual.
6. How We Share Information
We share information with the business customer that requested the applicant verification; with authorized business users within the customer account; with service providers such as Plaid, AWS, messaging providers, payment processors, analytics providers, support systems, and security tools; with professional advisors, auditors, insurers, and legal counsel; with regulators, law enforcement, courts, or other parties when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate transaction, or business transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.
7. No Sale of Sensitive Financial Data
RepayIQ does not sell applicant bank credentials or sensitive financial account data.
8. Cookies and Analytics
The website may use cookies, pixels, log files, and analytics tools to operate the site, measure performance, improve functionality, and protect security.
9. Data Retention
RepayIQ retains personal information for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain audit records, support disputes, comply with law, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and improve services. Retention schedules may vary by data type.
10. Security
RepayIQ uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, audit logging, cloud security controls, and vendor management. No system is perfectly secure.
11. Your Choices and Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, subject to legal exceptions. Applicants may contact RepayIQ and the requesting business if they believe a report contains inaccurate information. You may opt out of nonessential marketing emails where applicable. Additional rights may apply under state privacy laws, depending on your location.
12. Children
RepayIQ is not intended for children under 18 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. State and International Privacy Laws
Additional rights and disclosures may apply depending on your location, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other U.S. state privacy laws. International users may have rights under GDPR or UK GDPR.
